The point of the Occupy movement, exactly like the aim of the Tet Offensive, was to spark a popular and wide-spread uprising. Both failed because there was no real tinder for the spark to ignite. When the American middle-class has had enough, they will quietly and peacefully, but irrevocably, pull the scaffolding away. They will stop paying their taxes. They will walk away from their mortgages. They will (already have?) move their principle earning activity to the black market (something most Americans are intimately familiar with already via their first jobs as babysitters and lawn-mowers and neighborhood lemonade-moguls). Hey, it would explain the economic participation numbers. You think America is ungovernable now?
