The police just knocked on my door to let me know that my neighbors body has been decomposing in his apartment for over a week. Ive been smelling that smell for a week now, assuming he was just having another mental breakdown and eventually the smell would go away when he went manic again. I tried so hard to get that man some help and no one cared, so I stopped caring myself. Regret fills my body and hollows my soul. I wont be around the house for a while. I need to air out my house, because the smell has permeated my apartment as well. R.I.P Gerald. You were tortured and alone and I hope you found peace in death.
