The political discourse about what percentage of American - TopicsExpress

The political discourse about what percentage of American tax-payers money goes into the deep pockets of private security firms is indeed narrow and limited. Why is this? The web-site InfluenceExplorer points out some exceptional details such as President Obama and John McCain have in the past have taken huge amounts of campaign contributions from said firms. Nationally syndicated columnist David Sirota tells us that Booz Allen Hamilton, the security firm that hired Edward Snowden, receives 99% of its multibillion-$$$ revenues from Uncle Sam. Those revenues are part of a larger and growing economic sector WITHIN the military-industrial complex - a sector that, according to author Tim Shorrock, is a "56 billion-a-year industry." How much longer are citizens going to put up with this kind of political machine that sees "privatization" as the answer to everything affiliated with the U.S. government?
