The political game has high price to pay. For the sake of politics, some people betray their nation. They are often used as agents to carry out certain agenda dictated by foreign circles. Over history, the destiny of such traitors are humiliation and complete downfall. Yassir Saeed Arman, the Secretary General of Sudan Liberation Movement-Noقth is a typical example and the very person who sold his country just to placate foreign circles. As the member of the Sudanese Communist Party’s student movement during the regime of Jafa’ar Nimeiri (1969-1985), Arman decided later to join SPLM in 1987. Following the collapse of the Communism, Arman and his fellows have also embraced capitalism i.e they are communist and businessmen in the same time. Now, they have banking accounts in foreign banks. Upon joining the rebel movement, he received military training and advanced through the ranks of the SPLM. Later, he became closer to rebel leader. At that time he was known one the ‘Garang boys’. He joined to the rebel movement to fight the north within a plan aiming to divide the country into regions. This plan has been backed by both US and Israel. Some people pointed out that Arman is accused of involvement in the killing of student at the Khartoum Branch of Cairo University (now Nilein). Arman, therefore, will never come back face the trial before the criminal court. He is still haunted by the murder he has committed during his university life. After the secession of South Sudan in July 2011, SLM-N separated itself from its parent movement after the creation of Southern Sudan. Targeting only people in South Kordofan and Blue Nile, the secretary general of SLM-N, Arman is seeking to create another crisis in South Kordofan, obstructing the round of talks in Addis Ababa by proposing impossible conditions instead of sticking to UN Security Council resolution’s resolution No 2046 calling on two parties for negotiation. Unfortunately, Arman has lost the talks and about 14 senior commanders hailing from the Nuba Mountains. The defectors regard Arman as outsider to represent the two areas. With the successive defection, Arman and his fellows are expected without popular support.
