The pool is the greatest equalizer, to me, it is the greatest of both strength and cardiovascular endurance. To be an effective swimmer (and Im not talking Michael Phelps swimmer), you have to train both disciplines. Be wary-too much muscle and youll have a harder time; not enough muscle, and you wont be able to fight the drag of the water. Seeing 184 on the scale instead of 165 was bothersome. So instead of whining about it, today I did something about it. Time to make a plan and stick to it. I am my motivation. Lets roll.
