The poor ostracods were just doing their baby-making thing when something bad happened - and they got buried in bat poo. Now - 17 million years later - using synchrotron x-ray tomography and a new high resolution nanotomography procedure, we can see in detail exactly what they were up to, including which bits went where as well as the worlds oldest (and very large) sperm. You just never know what might happen...
