The post-injury/recovery milestones just keep coming. 200 miles in - TopicsExpress

The post-injury/recovery milestones just keep coming. 200 miles in May for the first time since November and after 10 miles on my group run this morning and an additional 6.5 on the hot and steamy Wolf River Trails this afternoon, I hit 50 miles in one week for the first time since W/E 11/25/13. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Joel Lyons and Kevin Leathers for encouraging me to end my original streak and cut back on the mileage for a recovery period, Pam Rickard for encouraging me to try Active Release Techniques (ART) as a solution to the nagging ankle and Achilles issues I experienced following my December injury, and Dr. Jeremy L Jessop for being the ART practitioner that put it all together and made me almost as good as new in time to take on some stupid new goals. In the next few months, Im going to religiously train for new PRs in all the MRTC RRS distances, a BQ attempt with Bruce Keisling, and COMPLETING a 100-mile run with Charles Hurst, John Phillips, Tim Steele, and Nancy Newman Goodnight. I couldnt -- and wouldnt -- do it without all yall. Thanks for your friendship and support.
