The power of touch The power of touch I had another reiki session the other day at St clares. Hospice The very first time I experienced reiki. It was such an emotional roller coaster : I felt all of my friends and their warm hands surrounding my body ; empowering my soul; filling my heart with. Positive goals The second time : It was my mama bear. Her hands, her heart giving strength. To every part of my Body , my soul: giving me physical, emotional , psychological strength A so this third time : I imagined all of my friends helping fill my heart to the brim : all with hot hands drawing me in : touching every part of my heart this time : actually playing with colourful balloons in what was like the best ever childrens party : you know when there are loads of balloons and youve got to keep them off the floor : well you were all there family and friends : filling my whole body me wanting more : The power of touch : it means so much Now. Went to my councillor again today and talked about touch and physical contact Now my treatment for cancer has stopped ; and support group sessions are coming to a halt Im looking. For the next best thing to help me. Feel good and look forward to I really love my body being touched. And stroked but. I was worried about my mama bear and papa bear not being naturally people who touch : my councillor confirmed to me its not my fault : its not about me but something that for them doesnt come naturally If people are not naturally tactile : they may not think to touch you ... If it is important to you : tell them Let them know what the impact will be I know when Im touched I feel really warm inside : I get bubbles fill my heart and Im so satisfied I imagine hundreds of balloons.
