The power of writing letters. Its not something thats done much now. However occasionally a little bit of retro works a charm. Citibank cancelled my credit card on April 21st due to an un-specified security threat. Not too much of a problem with that except for some inconvenience, or so I thought. 3-4 working days is the replacement time, the helpful Citi customer service rep informed me. 18 days later and still no card, daily conversations with the customer service reps who provided me with a lot of apologies, sympathy but no news on when my card might actually arrive. So last Sunday I wrote a letter to Batara Sianturi, CEO, Citibank Philippines and Guam. The letter arrived at his office this morning. 1.30pm today I receive a call from Ali Osabel from Mr.Sianturis office explaining the situation and apologizing for the cock up. 4.30pm today a new credit card arrives at my office. Im going to write more letters in future cos they still work! Not sure about flared trousers though..........
