The power went off briefly this morning - like a clarion bell signifying winter and reminding me I need to get water stores and charge flashlights... What do you love about winter? I do love coming in from the cold and feeling the warmth and coziness of my home. I love the feeling of rosy cheeks and the smell of snow. I like my happy yellow winter boots and my crazy Parfitt winter hat. Im grateful for my car, my studded tires, my pile of wood and my snowblower. I like all the colours in snow and how at night it sometimes looks like a sea of diamonds. I like the sappy Christmas movies. I like how falling snow swirls around the windows of the studio and how the flakes lift slightly when they hit the heat coming from the windows. I like how snow covers up the debris and mess I never got cleaned up. I like how snow outlines the bones of trees and shows me the structure that supports the beauty in summer. I like how quiet the world is after a dump of snow. I like my warm eternity scarf. I like that I dont live in Westeros where winter might last for 7 years :-P
