The powers that be want us to be passive observers. And they - TopicsExpress

The powers that be want us to be passive observers. And they havent given us any other options outside the occasional purely symbolic participatory act of voting. Do you want the puppet on the right? Or the puppet on the left? Yes, I voted today. Though I didnt see any of the real hot button issues that we need to see. Yeah, I did my part to get that buffoon Rick Snyder out of the office, and yes I helped save the wolves. Were made to think that shuffling these pawns around an office is going to impact real change. But it wont. Not when the system itself is what needs to change. Not when those in charge control every aspect of their voting system, and wont allow anything to go against their vested interest. Dont believe me? Follow the money. We need to evolve past this need to give away our power and letting our fate lie in someone elses hands. Especially when what they truly stand for isnt public knowledge. I know more about why I shouldnt vote for the other guy than why I should vote for YOU. Real change is made by your day to day decision making. What do you spend your money on? You vote every day with your dollar. Do you support large corporations that take money out of your local economy, and never give anything back (aside from contribution to the unequal distribution of wealth, pollution, and desecration of the Earths resources)? Or do you shop local, eat organic, and only buy what you need; reusing and recycling in the process? Do you help out and give back to your community? These are the ways that we will change this world. This is how we take back our lives.
