The prayer of Serenity it aint, but this came to me this morning so here it goes... Dear Lord, Seems like here lately I have always been asking for something when I pray. More time. Fewer tears. More money. Less hurt. Better health. Better choices. Somewhere amongst a prayer for a miracle, placation of everything or a little child I suppose......just asking my Daddy to make it all better. Wondering why the answers or solutions never came, But not realizing I was talking so much that I wasnt Letting you get a word in edge wise... Im sorry for that, just one of many things in the life I am sorry for to add to the list, I reckon you knew how much we would fall short which is why you had to send you Son to atone for us..... So this morning my prayer is pretty simple...Thank you.... Thank you for another day to just be. Thank you for all the blessings that I have done nothing to deserve. Thank you for grace......for loving me and supporting me in spite of me. I am not who i need to be. I am not where i need to be by any means yet... However, I am plodding along, With optimism and a goofy smile, One day at a time, One foot in front of the other; Better than I was yesterday, but not as good as I will be tomorrow. For all these things, I am truly thankful. Soli Deo gloria.......... Amen. Chris
