The prayer of a man who has one day to live is not a bless me prayer. Because he suddenly realizes that his time on this dimension is considerably short. The reality of another dimension where he has no control whatsoever suddenly hits him. He used to be able to take care of everything, being the maestro that he is. Now he sees that all his life and all his accomplishments and toys cannot help him. He begins to see now that he can no longer postpone or defer the one prayer that some have told him to pray in the past. He used to laugh at people who talk about eternal life, and scorn the Author of eternal life Jesus Christ. Because he is the "master of his destiny". Now he cannot risk finding out that what he had heard to be the truth, which is eternal judgment of God to those who hates God. So he says to himself, Lord if you are real, save me, forgive me of all my sins. Save my soul, I have lived a life of vanity and I do not know if you can save someone like me. My wealth and position have no meaning at this point. Some wait to this point to seek God, but most of the time it is too late. Now is the time to seek God, and repent, and ask for His forgiveness Matthew 6:33, Ecclesiastes 12, Luke 10: 19-20, Psalm 2
