The president’s decision to define a full-time employee as - TopicsExpress

The president’s decision to define a full-time employee as someone who works 30 hours per week is just another harmful #ObamaCare regulation that reduces job opportunities for Americans. Obama’s 30-hour work week affects our workforce three-fold; it decreases workers’ wages, increases the amount of part-time employees, and causes employers to dramatically reduce employees’ hours to avoid paying for health insurance. Without the 40-hour workweek being restored, 2.6 million employees, many in entry level positions, are at risk for having their hours reduced. The legislation will restore the 40-hour workweek definition of a full-time employee to protect American workers from one of the many flaws of ObamaCare. Health insurance is meant to help Americans but the president’s healthcare law is achieving exactly the opposite by increasing premiums and causing people to lose coverage. This is a small step in a long process of fixing the healthcare system for everyone, and undoing the burdensome and harmful regulations of ObamaCare. dennisross.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=391978
