The previous week was full of intrigues. The Judas Iscariots among us came with tales that upset the health of many patriotic indigenes. They came to the fore briefly and went back into oblivion (keke pa). One of them promised ninety eight minutes. I thought he was serious. The third day, he equally promised another ninety eight minutes. It then dawned on me that he was a clown after all. Well-meaning indigenes (Omo Onilu) called me from Port-Harcourt) Seyi Agbeye), Lagos, Irele (Lene), Ore (Gbenga) and Abuja (Emoruwa Promise). I equally called many people (High Chief Olagundoye the Oyenusi of Ode Irele, Olu Akinbo, and Lesan at the Olofun’s Palace). They are simply Lulawo: Omo-Onilu-Ko-Fe-Ko-Tu. No one would pray for the disintegration of the town except the strangers among us. The title could constitute a scholarly paper in the future. Well, what else can we say? The town cannot be more peaceful. To those who pant and pine for the peace of the town and people, may you have peace in all your endeavours. May you have your life stories rewritten this day, this week, this month and this year. In your preoccupations, you will move from being underlings to the top and moderate opinions at board meetings.
