The prime suspect in the murder of Alice Gross is a Latvian who had previously served a prison sentence in his home country for murdering his wife, of which British police had no prior knowledge. Now, I dont generally mind about immigration, but surely the authorities should be checking up on this sort of thing before rubber-stamping entry into this country. They do it in America: Says here you once puked up in a police officers hat. You aint comin in, boy. A criminal record should be for life regardless of which country you live in.
