And He came to make us partakers of the divine nature. - Desire of Ages, Page 123 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 Good works are just as much a gift from God as is our forgiveness. This is why people glorify God and not us when they see our good works.
