The prize of imaginary importance - all Western Europe. Indirectly and directly USA struggles for its own surviving. But Europe needs Russia in much ways - not the opposite. World is in agonizing transformation. USA failed and missed it historical and civilization chance (along with all the rest of Western civilization) of respectful and justice carrier world leader - just because of simple greed based on arrogancy and stupidity. F*cked up beyond all recognition (FUBAR). No second chance for the US. I doubt it will be possible to avoid full scale war.
