The problem with Twitter is that it simply isnt useful for anything. Ok, that isnt entirely true. Twitter is a modern day RSS aggregator without any of the features of a good news reader. You see updates from things you subscribe, like the BBC or Re/Code or whatever. However, there is no mechanism to manage what I read and did not read, easily save off for later reading. Twitter needs to go off and get rid of its cute character limits and just turn itself into a Facebook competitor. It also needs to understand its roots and go and create Twitter News, Twitter Sports, Twitter Finance. Special apps and special pages where people can get all of their news. It is a modern day Yahoo/MSN/AOL - just better because they dont have to go off and buy news feeds.
