The problem with morality is that too many conceive of it as a static and mechanistic concept. Morality must be organic in order for it to work. If you say that it is always wrong to kill a child one can easily create a hypothetical that disproves that statement. What if the kid is wearing a bomb and his terrorist parents are sending him into a school full of other children? Would you then hesitate to kill that child? If youre stuck because you have a static view of morality and you refuse to shoot that child you will then become even more distraught when you realize that 50 other kids just died because you couldnt pull the trigger. Its a extremely rare hypothetical but it serves to prove a point. There are no absolute This is always wrong no matter what. Realize this has absolutely nothing to do with objective/subjective morality, in both cases you can view it as organic. This simply has to do with a lot of misconceptions I see. Someone says, Does X violate the NAP? Well in certain cases yes, in others no. Does Y follow the golden rule? Depends on the context. Etc., etc.
