The problem with solving problems with feelings instead of facts - TopicsExpress

The problem with solving problems with feelings instead of facts based on history, is that when people are found to be suffering, acting on emotion tends to blow the system up even worse. For example, in Florida, when it was found that some pigs were suffering, Florida passed a law that all pig must have their own pen. No problem for farmers. They simply slaughtered all their pigs. Boom...no more pigs having to share pens. Expanding the role of government in any industry is never the solution to fixing it. How many people have ever said, I sure do love going through security checkpoints at the airport, or, I sure do love being at the DMV, or, I sure do love working with the IRS, etc, etc. Never. But for some reason everyone thought the same entity could more smoothly handle their health insurance? Mind blowing. -- Brian N. Burridge
