The problem with these kinds of spectrums is that they categorize and compartmentalize certain Catholic elements as Liberal or Conservative , like the NO, TLM and Charismatic renewal... To name a few... all if these elements are Catholic in their nature, thus to label catholics based on them being liberal or them being conservative is just plain ridiculous. This is an example of how certain Catholics politicize the Church, failing to recognize that it is a DIVINE institution, that deals with barious charisms...to reduce it to a set of ideologies is to disregard the power of the holy spirit to captivate the world BEYOND ideologies... Thats the problem with thes so called recent radical Traditionalists or what Dave Armstrong calls Reactionary Catholics...they have reduced themlves to the level of the Liberal Catholics they attack...they have become like those they defend thr church from they had become bringers of ideologies... The Catholic Church is not an ideology...it is a Love Story, the body of Christ united with God the Father, founded upon the truth of the Gospel, written by the blood of Christ, made alive by the living Tradition and guided by the Holy Spirit through the successor of St. Peter... Its cannot be reduced to a simple conservative, liberal, traditionalist hubahoo spectrum....
