The proliferation of billboards and campaign posters by - TopicsExpress

The proliferation of billboards and campaign posters by politicians prior to elections into political offices in Nigeria is not a strange phenomenon. Rather, what constitutes concern to the common people now is that, it is virtually the same old coorrupt faces, that had over the years plunged the economy of the nation into comatose, which gave birth to developmental lethargy, that keep appearing on these billboards and campaign posters. This is the reason why we are working hard to change the political perception and orientation of the common people, especially at the grassroots, on what constitutes good and healthy representation in government, through adequate sensitization that would elicit positive thinking and evoke the right attitude towards the enthronement of good, honest, capable and quality representatives and leaders in government. Time has come for the long suffering people of Nigeria to take a common stand and kick out all corrupt, selfish, irresponsible and greedy political office holders that had brought untold hardship and misery to bear on the common man in our nation. For us in Delta State, it must start from the coming local government election. We must not allow rogues, criminally minded individuals, past/current public treasury looters and persons whose characters are in doubt to assume political offices. They are confirmed enemies to humanity. It is our collective responsibility to turn our misfortune to fortune. Change is possible and we can make it happen. Let us for once prove that in a democratic setting, absolute power belongs to the people and not to a few political lords. It is 2015, the date for the common people in the political history of Nigeria.
