The proposed regulations would of course violate the rights of the child. They also would violate the constitutional separation between church and state, as the CDC regulations propose taking into consideration a parents religious views. The proposed regulations also treat boys and girls differently without a valid basis, and hence constitute governmental action in violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th amendment to the constitution. ~ Peter W.
