The pseudo-intellectuals of our country have FAILED big time in presenting any POSITIVE philosophy of life that could replace the Obscurantist extremist ranting, uptight proselytizing and empty slogans of the khilaris, maulvis and generals. So people have NOBODY to go to but these creatures above to get some ideas of how to lead their lives. Until the 70s Socialism provided some vague ideology to these intellectuals but after the collapse of Communism, they could not come up with any ALTERNATIVE thinking to religious extremism which provides hope of worldly and spiritual salvation to the silent majority as it is a basic human need to BELIEVE in SOMETHING or another. The intellectuals have FAILED to tell people WHAT to believe in and WHY? and WHAT NOT to believe and WHY NOT. In-depth analysis is simply not available to our people who WANT to think and to believe in viable, practicable and positive ideals. But due to the existing intellectual VACUUM, the khilaris, maulvis and generals have emerged as the intellectually, politically and socially dominant class.
