The public editor of the NY Times has responded to the Shonda Rhimes story admitting that there was a problem (the writer is still claiming ignorance of her offenses), and some have suggested that the paper needs to diversify its newsroom, that its a problem that none of the three editors that OKd the story were black. That is a good thing but its not the answer. We ALL need to be sensitive to things outside of our purview because THAT IS THE EDITORS JOB. No matter what color they are. If not one person said Not only is Angry black woman an offensive trope, but you dont even do the research to prove that it even applies, and your facts are all wrong. Thats not just diversity issues. Thats sucky editing.
