The purity, the simplicity, and the freedom that we had in the 60´and 70´ it´s not been lost but it´s rare, it´s not that it doesn´t exist but you gotta look for it.. The main thing I say to the kids it´s just HAVE FUN, I mean, it´s not really about all the material, and all the trophies, and all the money and stuff. There is a fine line between ambition and greed, when you became a little bit greedy and you start to go in the aterial path instead of just having fun I think you get away from the spirituality..I belive the main way to have fun and the main way to stay conected to what skateboarding is really all about is to kind to keep it like something fun and enjoyable, and not to take yourself like too seriously because you know.. that takes the fun at everything, like music, surfing, skateboarding, art, like anything like that, when you get too serious about it and you are only doing ir for the power and for the money and for being the best instead of just to be one of like a worker on man workers.. I think the best thing to do is just HAVE FUN, dont try to be the top dog all time.. You realise really why you love.. your life and what you love to do, it´s so important to you and it´s because of the fact that.. you know, IT IS FUN. - No words, Tony Alva.
