The purpose of the Foundation for Integral Religion and Spirituality is to educate the public within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code by offering graduate level programs in Integral Religious studies. To this end, the Foundation will offer Ph.D. and D. Min. programs in the field of Integral Religion and Spirituality. In addition to doctorate level training, education may include undergraduate degrees, master’s degrees, M.Div. programs that meet the requirements for Integral Minister ordination, as well as other forms of lectures, seminars, dialogues, videos, and audio to be distributed both in person and digitally via the internet. Our education efforts are not limited to the preceding examples and may include other appropriate means to foster an understanding of Integral Religion and Spirituality such as mentoring, coaching, consulting, retreats, conferences, workshops, publications, and grants and scholarships. More specifically, and regardless of the format of distribution or delivery, we will offer public instruction in the following areas: (1) an understanding of the world’s major religions, including various typologies of religious forms and expressions; (2) an understanding of basic psychological development as it moves through both conventional and contemplative stages; (3) a trans-disciplinary understanding of, and approach to, the multiple paradigms of religious study and scholarship practiced within the field of religious studies itself; (4) an understanding of the multiple human capacities and lines of intelligence that contribute to, and are cultivated by, the world’s major religious traditions; (5) an understanding of spiritual development as it moves through both conventional and contemplative stages in the spiritual formation process; (6) an understanding of the spiritual disciplines and technologies associated with the world’s major religions; and (7) how all of these elements may be combined in ways that provide a beneficial and positive social impact within local and global communities. Ultimately, our offerings will provide both a factual and theoretical foundation for the viewpoints being advocated. In all areas, our efforts will be to engage participants in ongoing processes of learning and growth, and to prepare them to contribute more positively, effectively, and constructively to their communities
