The purpose of the Ice Challenge is the dumping of the ice water while your feet is submerged is to mimic the effects of CHEMOTHERAPY TREATMENTS! The shock you feel when the water and ice is being drenched on you, the shivering cold of it all is exactly what one who has CANCER goes through...how CHEMO feels. Every treatment... feels exactly what the people who accepted to do the ice challenge feels. Donating to the cause is greatly encouraged but doing the challenge is self empowering.
