The question Facebook asks is: What have you been up to? What, indeed! We have miraculously found homes for not one, but TWO of our senior dogs! Lukas, the senior Chow mix who was found wandering around Bethany missing most of his hair, tired, thin, and depressed, has found a fantastic home with a single woman who is going to spoil him rotten. Before and after pics below. :o) And, if you havent met her yet, we have had our black and tan Coonhound, Ellie Mae, as part of Indigo Rescue since March of 2011. Ellie Mae came to us after she was found on Hwy 30 and Cornelius Pass Rd, full of milk from a very recent litter and very, very thin. She was tired and dirty and had obviously been on the road for some time. She has lived in three foster homes and been adopted out and returned two times. All we have to say now, is hopefully, the third time is the charm. Ellie Mae has been adopted by a very kind family with a Boston Terrier friend. Shes a sweet, sweet girl, but shes a hound and she definitely has some hound traits and they believe theyre up for the challenge. Ive included a pic of Ellie Mae here, too. The picture of her with her new family is stuck in a camera at the moment but well try to share it later. :o) A special thank you to their fantastic fosters who took such special, loving care of them, getting Lukass skin and coat to grow in beautifully with grain free food, supplements and prescription topical products, and taking care of Ellie Maes teeth, ears, and little icky tumors: For Lukas, Julie B and Laura W, and for Ellie Mae: Mary L, Charlene R, and Chris B. All of you are awesome and should be very proud. These two deserved to find great new homes and you made that possible for them...
