The railway man There are movies which plunges thru your heart into the soul and makes you redeem your humane morale side, The Railway Man starring Colin Firth is one such movie for me. Its a story about a veteran soldier who was once captured and tortured by the Japanese. The pains of it haunts him even when he is old and To get solace off of it, he goes to meet one of his Japanese captors for revenge. the film has an incident type short story like plot, but the emotions portrayed, the depth of human cruelty and forgiving nature turmoils ur mind to whether judge humans as good or bad. HIroyishi Sanada (remember him from The Last Samurai) acts exceptionally well portraying fear, guilt and sadness in a single emotion, and i became an instant fan.. the final minutes welled my eyes, and will well urs too. watch it alone, and you will know what i mean. Nicole Kidman also stars as the wife. My rating 9/10
