The rain calms the heat the same way as pain calms the beat from a family to a broken home from a broken home to the back seat somewhere on the back street his burdens are heavy he doesnt know he can lay em down in gods feet so with him he carrys salty tears empty pockets with him wherever he walks he Crys out to god for help but doesnt truly believe he could stop it he wishes and hopes for pearly gates and streets of gold a warm place to sleep and someone close for him to hold he sees his own dreams as far fetch but refuses to show emotions scared if he lets out the truth it would surely fold him many know his name but only one truly knows him he feels like hes lost it all and theres nothing left to do now but explode but he knows where thatd lead him cus hes been down that road a self destruction alone, got lost on it for years and couldnt find his way back home until the world was decimated left him in devastation he cried out again lord, if your really out there this would be a good time to show me your face cus without you Ive got nothing and i dont know how much more this i could take Im only a man whose made his fair share of mistakes but if youll have me i will follow you just show me the way remove the wickedness in my heart i let drive me down in this place of shame and despair, make me ride on wings like eagles up in the air, teach me how to love again and truly know what it means to care help me keep my faith, even if i cant feel you near show me the pros cus theres so many cons out there, and last but not least empower me to be a light to my family tree help them to see me through new eyes and not the man i used to be.
