The rate of murder and killing of people in the eastern , western and southern provinces of Afghanistan are much higher and more regular and consistent than any other parts of the country including Faryab and Takhar which clearly indicate that these are the areas where the illegal activities such as smuggling of precious stones and other items of high values as well as drug trafficking and human trafficking etc . take place . The majority of cases of murders are linked to foreign criminals syndicates who are basically operating in these areas with their bases beyond the borders of Afghanistan like Iran and Pakistan . The foreign criminals are using the local criminals as collaborators and agents in Afghanistan to keep and protect their business going and protect their lucrative business against the government forces like ANA and police but some time the corrupt and rogue police are also involved in this criminal enterprise for financial benefits . The name of Taliban is being used as logo by the criminals for high profile and political reason .
