The re-opening of Denvers century-old Union Station as a local transportation hub, upscale food court and hotel is a marathon, not a sprint with a events scheduled over a few weeks. Ive hung around the former waiting room, now a spectacular public space, toured the Crawford Hotel and had lunch at Stoic & Genuine, star chef Jennifer Jasinskis seafood restaurant that was the first to open. Here are some pix from lunch in the long, skinny restaurant with the soaring ceiling. The lobster roll was delicious, and even the towering burger has a seafood component: bacon wrapped oysters. And did I mention the salt-kissed cornbread served in cast-iron cornbread pan?
