The real poison in American society today is the ever expanding gulf between conservatives and liberals. This, I believe, is a purposeful manipulation by those who would gain by averting our gaze and attention away from their efforts to enhance the lives of a few at the expense of many. They have made it, with the use of emotional manipulation of both sides, virtually impossible to find common ground between what has indeed become two completely different views of a righteous America. I do not currently offer a solution but, rest assured, I AM looking into it. United we shall stand and, make no mistake, divided, we shall surely fall. Perhaps it is time for finger pointing and criticism to cease. Perhaps it is time to stop expending all our waking hours contemplating ways to minimize and destroy our "opponents". A good start would be for both sides to recognize that goverment, with the intent of bettering each American, is no longer being practiced by either party.
