The real reason why Censor Board Chairperson Leela Samson wanted to ban the movie Messenger of God was because it was against her core ideologies to think of any Messenger of God other than Jesus. Imagine her plight when she has to approve a movie which shows a normal human as messenger of God. When she was heading the Kalakshetra in Chennai, she had ordered removal of all idols of Ganesha and used to give long lectures mocking idol worship and trying to preach about Jesus being the true messiah, the only messenger of God etc. She had even got rid of all cultural symbols from Kalakshetra logo/certificates in the name of secularism to please her political masters like Sonia Gandhi and missionaries. She was hoping the Modi Govt to support her in banning the movie but the Govt did not want to interfere (The Govt has been consistent here because they did not interfere for PK also). So, she is on the offensive now, blaming the Govt of several allegations. The entire gang which approved PK movie in the name of freedom of expression, is now on the offensive because their hypocrisy was not supported by the Govt. The whole gang Leela Samson (around 10-12 members) will be resigning over the next few days. Guru Prasad
