The reality is that the Northern Conference (NC), formerly known as Transvaal Conference (TC) is a racially segregated administrative unit of the SDA Church. No beating around the bush there. After 19 yrs of democracy in South Africa, we still have an institution, religious institution nogal, which still sees black people as a group of people to be ignored. With that, all we sek to do as black people, instead of confronting such evil attitudes, we want to pray and say: JESUS IS COMING! If theres one thing I regret is transferring my membership to such an institution such as NC. Now, with my membership in this institution means I am part of their racial segregation unless I make a noise against it. In case someone might think otherwise, no, the issue maintaining this racially segregated administrative unit is not the language issue as we have been made to believe. Its nothing but deep-rooted RACISM and the misconception that blacks are INEFFICIENT. Racist white people refused to be led by a black State President, but then they had no other option but to leave with it that black people are in power. A similar situation is happening within the so called religious or godly people, they refuse to be under the leadership of black people in all aspects because once the TOC-NC merge, the fact that democracy is the name of the game in South Africa, majority will rule. So, it makes sense to refuse to merge. This calls for decisive actions by those black people within this racially-segregated conference to not only pray and hope things will just change on themselves, its time that they get the attention of those racist religious and godly people. Shouldnt the church be the one that leades the way in promoting NON-RACIALISM? Just to clarify something: The SDA Church in SA as a whole IS NOT A RACIST Church but it has members who still refuse to let go of white supremacy. If what LFM about the former TOC administration responsible for frustrating the merger, then we are SO GLAD TO SEE THEIR BACKS! This thing of merger to eliminate racially-segregated conferences needs to happen as in YESTERDAY!
