The reality of our nation’s future is that we have a massive debt and deficit legacy from the ALP there is no choice but to tackle that disaster. We’re moving quickly in government to turn around Australia’s prospects, first by fixing the budget to restore confidence and build a strong, prosperous economy. What we are doing is difficult, but we were elected to take the hard decisions to fix Labor’s mess. We have the plan, the only plan, which accepts that governments must live within their means. We are working to implement that plan in the face of an Opposition-dominated Senate; and we’re making progress but more must be done.
