The reason I am voting no... Well the reason being is because I am strongly opposed to government control over the economic life of people. Socialism has proven itself a disaster, it caused the Great Depression which they tried to blame on the free market. It was precisely what lead to the massive devaluation of our currency with the increase of inflation, caused countless recessions, and is precisely what created Corporatism, what lead to Corporatism. And after it annihilated the economy, wiped the floor with the poor and disabled, and caused the bigger gap between the rich and poor. Yes, I am strongly against that. For me, its not about whether Scotland separates or not, I dont mind if Scotland does, because irrespective of what side Scotland sits on, whether separated or not, its fighting the same battle, fighting against Collectivism, precisely what causes self-serving governments. We seen this evidence with Westminster and is precisely why we have a self-serving political class. With so much having been blamed on Capitalism and the lies that has been spread throughout history, well I stand heart and soul against that, thats where my fight lays. So it doesnt matter to me what side Scotland sits. I will vote no because the fact that there is a majority of people down south who hold more Capitalist views and are more informed about economics and their history. Scotland sadly has been misguided, it seems to have gone over this nations head. Some how it thinks Nordic nations are utopias, which clearly they are not. They are economies that fail in the long term. And for anyone to think Capitalism needs Socialism, that only serves to prove they dont understand history. As people claim, Capitalism failed, you ask them where, they dont know, they say the Great Depression, but even thats a fallacy, because the cause of that was due to government intervention, the history of the United States of America is proof of this. The fact people think the Central Bank (Federal Reserve) had something to do with the free market, that shows you people dont understand what a Capitalist economy is. It is within fact that this country doesnt know what Corporatism is, they for some strange reason, they assume that it comes from smaller weaker government, or from the free market shall I say. Again, nothing could be further from the truth. So what this country is supporting economically is essentially perpetuating the problem. Most importantly however is the disgusting lies people spread about Margaret Thatcher. They blamed their own Socialist disaster on Thatcher because they dont understand economics. Example, they couldnt even tell you what a recession is, nor could they tell you why the Trade Unions were a disaster and why they caused such high unemployment during the 1980s. And if that wasnt enough, they tried to blame her deregulation of the banks in the 1980s on the banking crisis. Theres plenty of reasons, but yes, thats it in basic...
