The reason Im posting this is to make a point about Gods Law, - TopicsExpress

The reason Im posting this is to make a point about Gods Law, which up until Thursday I was very confused about! The point is about when it is necessary to sue, and when one should turn the other cheek and walk away without that sort of resistance. As it turns out, there is a bright-line rule: Never sue. Now, you might call me the biggest hypocrite, given my fast-and-furious brief-writing pursuant to appeal-taking and lawsuit-creating! And that would be a fair criticism if I kept it up. But in fact, I couldnt have figured out that I was not following Gods Law properly unless I had stirred up the legal actions, because it was my recent LOSS in the civil case that made that fact clear. Had I won, I would have been emboldened that my decision to file suit was correct; I would not have been chastened/embarrassed and forced to ask WHY, since I was acting in good faith and with abundant cause. Here a note about what led me to file suit(s), which was also, I sense, a factor in the decision by Tom Cruise: The duty to assist or protect others who may not be in a position to act independently and who may be harmed indirectly by the alleged damage. It is especially distressing to think that ones own children may believe that they have been abandoned when nothing could be further from the True motive. Indeed, in that situation, you can feel like God has placed you in conflict with His Law as you tried to follow His Law. And you may be right, but the feeling arises from confusion about what GodsLaw Regarding lawsuits (even meritorious and non-self-serving ones) is. The issue is the finality of Gods judgments when made. Everything that happens all day every day a over the world (even the death of the proverbial single sparrow) is JUST AS IT SHOULD BE. We do not have to exert ourselves legally to undo what God has done. Thats the reason for our feeling that God is putting us in conflict when were trying to do the RIGHT thing, I.e., in our attempts to HELP OURSELVES (and others) with our God-given talents and resources, and to take responsibility/not be lazy, we are doing TOO MUCH. God gives REST to the righteous, not STRIFE. Indeed, He tells us that strife is not from Him. God also guarantees that if we remain faithful UNTIL THE END, we will not be put to shame. Sometimes the waiting is the hardest part, and people will demonize you for shirking your duty to fight for justice to boot. Amen.
