The reason some women are still single is because they forgot what love feels and looks like. You will find that when you talk with them they treat every conversation like a business matter, even if you ask them out. You may say, “Can I take you to dinner?” There answer will be, “Sounds great! Let me check my calendar and we can get together over coffee or dinner.” But if you ask again in a matter where she knows its not a business meeting the first things she will do is become silent. She will then make an excuse, or tell you how busy she is and may not be able to make it. In your mind when she starts a conversation with you, you think she is flirting, when she is just doing what comes natural - networking. When dealing with women like this please understand they get lonely just like any single woman does, but they become preoccupied with their careers or children, so love becomes the last thing on their mind. You even asking her out to dinner makes a very direct, bottom line woman become a child. Instead of being the direct, take charge woman she was a second ago she will become shy and demure like a child. She may even make silly jokes about herself, or even you to stop your advances. You will find that the most power driven, strong, independent, out spoken, go getter women are really shy when it comes to love. She will look off, or at the floor and quietly second guess herself, because love is something she has forgotten about and replaced it with her career and/or her family. If you meet a woman like this and it seems like she is not interested, she is probably interested but she doesn’t know how to response to your advances. It can be a very uncomfortable situation for her to be in, because love didn’t pay the bills, or get and keeps her job. In her world nobody talks about love, its not an email that she reads, love is not mentioned in the reports she has to turn in, nor in the one-on-ones she has weekly with her manager about her business performance, nor is it a part of her 90 day business plan that she needs to make. I know because this is how I am, and after talking with a lot of women I now know I am not the President of my Club.
