The reason the United States Government (Richard Nixon) tried, for - TopicsExpress

The reason the United States Government (Richard Nixon) tried, for a couple of years to have John Lennon thrown out of the country is because he would say virtually anything. He was an authentic revolutionary in two senses. First was, he led the Beatles until he turned so deeply to psychedelic drug use. This makes a person more passive... yet, you notice how John still presents himself as intensely active. But he was running on half charge. The Beatles broke a glass ceiling as you can see in the dramatic (but authentic) interpretation of Eight Days A Week in Ferris Buellers Day Off below. Two, in this directly social sense. He told the truth about his own mother and father. Many people will criticize them privately. It is like a undiagnosed cancer that over a lifetime can weaken the capacity to deeply appreciate other things. Others are caused to sit in a chair in the middle of a room, and, knee to knee, tell the parents what one felt. Many addicts will die before participating in that session. But that is the way to deal with it if one cannot do it alone, with full heart and feeling. And clear logic. John was one of the forces which caused those confrontation sessions in Treatment Centers to materialize with balanced but passionately honest methods. Still, to get anywhere near an appraisal of John, one must always factor in the drug use which always reduced him as a power by more than you can imagine when he is performing like this.
