I appreciate these problems, though you surely know them better than I do. We have been trying our best to help SMEs overcome them, through the various schemes by MTI and SPRING. Your feedback will help us to improve our schemes and support. One problem common to many industries is the shortage of workers. We have had to tighten up on foreign workers, because we simply cannot keep on bringing in as many as before. So whether it is the construction industry, or the F&B business, we have to learn to do the job with fewer workers than we have been used to. Other countries have done it, and we must learn from them. It is not easy to make the change, but with time and effort, I am sure we can do it together. – LHL
