The recent issue of National Geographic has highlighted the plight of pangolins in Southeast Asia. According to the article, tens of thousands of pangolins have been traded illegally across Asia since 2000, making them one of the most trafficked mammals in Southeast Asia, above even rhinos and elephants. These creatures cannot speak for themselves. While pangolins are totally protected in Malaysia, they cannot ask for help, for better protection from the government. We have to do that for them. Please, make it a strong point NOT to buy any medicines or food made from wild animals. Call the DWNP if you see any illegal trade relating to these or other wild animals.
