The recent post and thread on the Fornell home and Mr. Weeks has been removed. It remained as long as it did because the Fornell house was a part of our history and, thus, a part of the Memories of St. Augustine. However, the thread devolved into the very thing that this board is NOT about. Everyone who joins us here and is a member here should reread the mandate of this board. You can find it in the upper right of your page under the heading “ABOUT” “Growing up in St. Augustine and looking back on everything and everyone that has come and gone. PLEASE no incendiary comments, political discourse, or flaming. This is a place for us to relax as friends, to share and enjoy memories of our old town.” There have been posts in the past that have created discussion and, sometimes, they have gotten quite serious. But Chico and I try to keep an eye on those threads, so that they stay more like a lively discussion between friends in the Plaza and not like angry arguments in the streets. Discussing the memories of the Fornell house or the history of it is welcome. Agitating for the sake of agitation, posting accusations to attack, or linking to pages which do the same will be deleted. That includes inflammatory comments and links previously posted in other threads aside from the one removed. Yes, there are grey areas in a lot of the threads and posts on the board, that’s when Chico and I discuss things and make a judgment call. This one wasnt even close. Please do not attempt to restart the thread nor try to nitpick this decision. You can contact Chico or myself privately if you need to. Thanks.
