The recommendation of the National Conference to create Ijebu - TopicsExpress

The recommendation of the National Conference to create Ijebu State is nothing but a fraud. Currently, the Yoruba-Speaking people of Nigeria have (6) six states: Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Osun and Ekiti. Parts of Kwara, Kogi, Edo and Delta States are other Yoruba areas to be included as part of the South-West Region of Nigeria. Collectively, the Yoruba people of Nigeria have altogether 10 states. The addition of Ijebu State and New Oyo State as recommended by the National Conference will only make all the Yoruba states in Nigeria 12 in total. However, under the Regional Autonomy, the Yoruba Region will be able to create as many states as it can afford. Not only that, all the incomes and revenues realized within the Yoruba Region will be retained in Yorubaland for its development. The following are the tentative 30 States the Yoruba Autonomous Region will create: 1. Epe 2. Badagry 3. Ikorodu 4. Lagos 5. Ibadan 6. Ibarapa 7. Oke-Ogun 8. Ijero 9. Akure 10. Akoko 11. Owo 12. Ondo 13. Ife 14. Ilesha 15. Oshogbo 16. Ikale 17. Ijebu 18. Remo 19. Egba 20. Yewa 21 Ilaje 22. Ado 23. Ikere 24. Aramoko 25. Efon-Alaaye 26. Ilorin 27. Ibolo 28. Igbomina 29. Okun 30. Itsekiri The Yoruba Region will have a Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister. Each of the above states will have a Governor and Deputy Governor. The States will have Districts to be headed by Local Government Chairmen. The Districts will have Administrative Wards run by councillors. There would be a Yoruba Assembly with each states electing three persons. Each State will also have State House of Assembly with each ward electing two persons to the State House of Assembly. It would be reasonable for every Yoruba citizens to support regional autonomy. With Regional Autonomy, the Yoruba people will be able to create many states and be able to control all its wealth and resources. Currently, it is the federal government that is controlling the wealth and resources of the Yoruba people and that is why the Gambari is using Boko Haram to get power and Jonathan is using the army to remain in power. All the gullible Yoruba Youths celebrating the recommendation of the Ijebu State by the National Conference are advised to support Regional Autonomy. Say No To States As Federating Units. Support Regional Autonomy.
