The reigning Queen is the only monarch to have been a Queen in Her - TopicsExpress

The reigning Queen is the only monarch to have been a Queen in Her own right on every Continent excepting Antarctica where her Dominions held in personal union maintain territories anyway. Europe (the UK), Asia (Ceylon, Pakistan, India, and via the British Crown, the Colony of Hong Kong), Polynesia as Queen of Tuvalu and Queen of NZ, being also Queen of NZ in Right of the Cook Islands, at one stage in Right of Samoa via the Crown of NZ, Oceania as Queen of Australia and Queen of Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and at one stage Fiji, separately. In Africa as Queen of South Africa and via the British Crown several other modern African shitholes (read: republics). In the Americas as Queen of Canada, and several independent Carribean Dominions. In South America she is Queen of Belize, even. I find it very tedious when republicans rely on dull, droll, repetitive, and highly superficial arguments like the monarchy is white and British, its old, its a relic of the past, it has no relevance today. Its presence in the form we know with the most familiarity on every continent, spanning many cultures and languages would seem to indicate quite the opposite. As would the fact that each one of those dominions is the envy of its neighbours in many respects. Common law, basic ancient rights, personal liberty, parliamentary democracy.
