The release of the torture report isnt all that different from the Iran/Contra findings. That is to say, anyone with any sense knew this was happening (they both were the worst kept secrets in media and politics), but by the time they were out, there wasnt any will or capacity to actually do justice. So the old news becomes new news we already knew without any capacity to do anything with the news. Prosecuting Cheney would be a start, but lets face it, if we really want to locate culpability, we would have to bring in the entire political spectrum, dems and republicans alike.
