The resignation of Pastor Mark Driscoll and now complete disbanding of the popular Mars Hill Church network has been interesting to observe. #1 most people that call themselves Christians are completely disregarding most of the New Testament that is summed up by saying the world will know us for our love for one another. ( the calls and emails I have received have been have you heard this or heard that. When it should be more like we need to intercede for our family in Seattle they are going through a hard time. #2 does not matter who you are, how many books you have written, or how many churches you have planted. The Bible is clear that pride comes before a fall. #3 this is not an example of the church being persecuted so stop saying it. With that said my prayers are with him and his family. I pray that a remnant of people that love Jesus would rally to love and support them through letters, emails, and whatever else we can do. I pray that men of God would rise up to walk with him and help him with finding a source of income. It will be extremely humbling, and difficult to be him and find a job. I pray that Mark and his family would find a fresh relationship with Jesus and be healed. I also pray for all those staff and congregations that have also been severely affected by these actions. Lets show the world how Jesus does things!
