The response by some of our Latino leaders is if we cant beat city halls plan to evict Puerto Ricans from Humboldt Park is to join them by supporting Riot Fest. Thats not what Cesar Chavez did when they were oppressing farmworkers. Cesar Chavez said lets organize a boycott and put pressure on city hall (the growers). We can not win by licking boots. Dare to fight. Dare to win. Get up off your Knees. We will endure all the hardships that they throw at us but we will never accept their racism and robbery of our community. We will wage a protracted struggle and win victory after victory until they are defeated. It is city hall, the neighborhood associations and their developers who dislocated Latino barrios and who are therefore responsible for crime within our neighborhoods. You want to do a Neighborhood Watch of crime watch them they are the special interest crooks. and we will make sure that they eventually pay for these crimes.. Humboldt Park and Riot Fest find common ground
